I'm proud to be Caviteño! I'm proud to be Filipino

I am really proud for Efren Peñaflorida or also known as "Kuya Ef" for his great achievements. "Kuya Ef" is a teacher and social worker in the Philippines. He has been named "CNN Hero of the Year" in 2009 for his outstanding advocacy to educate Filipino out-of-school youth through "pushcart classes." Peñaflorida grew up in Cavite City. During his early days in school, he experienced being harassed and threatened by gangs near their school. He describes how a gang bullied him during high school, as had happened to many other students. Despite this, he still managed to finish his studies.


His growing concern for the unschooled children in his hometown led Peñaflorida to establish Dynamic Teen Company (DTC). At that time, he was only sixteen. He envisioned this organization as a tool to reach the underserved Filipino youth by providing free tutorials. He asked three fellow high school students to devote some of their time to teach children in the slum areas every Saturday. After ten years, DTC has gained around 10,000 memberships and conducted tutorials for approximately 1,500 children.

Now, i think what Efren did is a wake up call for all government officials to know what our country really needs and what the government should focus on~Education.
Education is the key to success!

Encantadia: The Second Saga

I'm very excited as i have heard that GMA will gonna make a sequel of its well-known fantaserye no other than Encantadia. We all know that Encantadia was dubbed as the grandest, most ambitious, and most expensive production for Philippine television. The story revolves around the four Sang'gres of Lireo, the center of worship in Encantadia - Pirena, Amihan, Alena, and Danaya. Pirena is the eldest daughter of Mine-a, the queen of Lireo, and Hagorn, the main antoganist of the story. She is the keeper of the jewel of fire and longs to be queen. Amihan is the second eldest and the daughter of Mine-a and Raquim, Mine-a's true love. She is the keeper of the jewel of wind and Mine-a chooses her to be the queen. This makes Pirena really mad, so she turns against the Diwatas and joins her evil father Hagorn. Alena is the third eldest daughter of Mine-a (Alena and Danaya's father is not revealed until Etheria). Alena is the keeper of the jewel of water. She falls in love with a man named Ybaro, who turns out to be the prince of the fallen kingdom of Sapiro, whose real name is Ybrahim. But there is some drama... Amihan also likes Ybaro! Anyways, Danaya is the youngest of her sisters. She is the keeper of the jewel of earth and is a feisty girl who never liked Pirena. Later in the series, Danaya becomes the new queen of Lireo. Sad to say, it is impossible to bring back the four Sang gres for their newest saga knowing that Karylle who played the role of Alena is currenlty working in ABS-CBN while Diana who plyed the role of Danaya is not that active in showbiz anymore. Sunshine Dizon has a major health problem that causes her to give up all her current jobs. So in short, Iza Clazado who played the role of Amihan is the only one remaining to do the project. It was said that Marian Rivera will be starring for this fantaserye. I hope they will do the Encantadia: Second Saga much greater than what they had before!

Amanda! The Pinoy Sole Survivor

I just watched the Finale Episode of Survivor Philippines Palau. From 16 castaways went down to top 3 remaining contenders. Top 3 includes Justine, Amanda and Jeff. It is pretty ovbious that Jeff will not get any votes from the jury as what i've seen in their last tribal council held in Palau. So the battle is between Amanda "Ang Probinsyanang Pinay" and Justine "the Beauty Queen." I was actually expecting Justine to won over the title but surprisingly Amanda got one vote higher than Justine and she was declared as the Pinoy Sole Survivor of Survivor Season 2. After the declaration, i realized how deserving Amanda is to be crowned as the Sole Survivor. Besides she will not make it to top 3 if she's not deserving enough to win right?
Congratulations Amanda and good luck for your future career!

Cuddly Teddy

I just celebrated my birthday yesterday and i really had so much fun. I turned one year older and i know that i'm not getting any younger. My friends went over my house to celebrate with me. They bought me some presents too! All of my relatives was also present in this once in a life time celbration of mine.
Look at this cute little teddy which was given to me by one of my friends.

Teddy Bears are usually stuffed with soft cotton and have smooth and soft fur. It is quite common in for American children to have one among their possessions. In recent times, some teddy bears have become collector's items. Now, teddy bears come in various styles and people can dress them up in many different styles and articles of clothing. Teddy bears are also among the most popular gifts for children and significant others on Valentines' day and other holidays.

Here's another FYI, the name Teddy Bear comes from former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt, whose nickname was "Teddy".

Swing Mikey, Swing!

Mikey saw a swing and decided to have some ride.
