Rabbit Lantern

We did this project last December and I guess it is very appropriate for our Easter-Spring Art Project Theme for this month. Here, let me show you our very own Rabbit Lantern again.

I just can't show the step by step illustration of our rabbit because it is quite complicated and it has so many details.

Using a copper wire we hold it and shape it like a rabbit. This will serve as the frame or the skeleton.

Then we cover it with Japanese Paper to make it translucent from the inside.

We cut small pieces of Japanese paper to make it looks like fur.

Adding more colors will make the rabbit more appealing.

Then we added small pen lights inside. We didn't use candle because it is quite risky and flammable.

Here i made a small wagon decorated by Poinsettia flowers. You can also use other flower decors.

Then add some colorful details in the rabbit. We used pink for the ears, added carrots and reading glass.

The Rabbit lantern is actually worth P250- 300. And has one light only.
Here are the Items that we used and their prices
Copper Wire P25
10 pcs assorted Japanese Papers P20
Glue P15
2 Pen lights P40
3 Red Blinkers P15
the rest are recycled
All in all we spent P120

Have a Happy Easter Art making Project guys!

Are You Into Gardening?

Do you love gardening as much as i do? Well, i am not really a green thumbed guy like my mom but i was able to grow some ornamental plants in our min garden. Yup! We do have mini garden in our back yard. The space may not be as big as the others but it is still enough to accommodate some plants and trees. It is really my mom who is into this gardening stuffs. She used to plant herbs and ornamental plants in our yard. In fact, some of her herbs came in handy already as she uses it as herbal medicine and also for her tea. You can see a lot of flowers bloom in our garden too which is really fascinating.
Well, the advantage of having a small garden is that you do not have to hire landscape maintenance services because you can manage it on your own. But if you really have that huge garden, well you definitely in need of something like Landscape Vancouver Wa Maintenance services. Handling a garden on your own could be very stressing and time consuming that's why it is very practical to hire such service and let the experts do the right job for you.
Landscape Maintenance may include mowing, pruning of trees, fertilizing, bark mulching and more.

Clay Caterpillar

This is our first Spring/Easter related Project. Spring is when most flowers bloom. It is also a great time to catch some cute bugs flying and crawling around the garden. Today, we're not just catching a bug, we are making one! Yup! We will make a Caterpillar today out of clay.

Simply roll balls of clay. Bigger to Smaller.

Roll two small balls of White clay. Press them to make flat circles. These will serve as the eyes of our caterpillar.

Add the pupils.

Add more details.

And that's it! Our Clay Caterpillar

Shabby Chic

Mom is a big fan of Rachel Ashwell. She used to watch the Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic show and never tired watching of it even the replays. In fact, she even bought a book about Rachel Ashwell's unique Interior designing. What makes this girl special is that she can turn a boring house into something elegant and classy. Shabby Chic is a kind of interior designing which is mostly characterized by it's antique-like appearance. If you are an antique enthusiast and you want to make your house look old but classy, then shabby chic interior design is a great alternative for you. If you are watching the show, then you know how to do it in a Rachel Ashwell's way. Rachel used to buy her items in a thrift store or even in a garage sale. She turn trashes into treasure. Here i grab some photos online. See how Shabby Chic looks like.

Through Shabby Chic, you will definitely experience the Royalty.

See how they turned that old wooden table into something classy and elegant.
Shabby Chic is also characterized by its conservative style, warmth and comfortable ambiance. A belgravia furniture suits perfectly for this kind of style. You can also try brooklyn oak furniture for your bedroom. Oak furniture are not just stylish, they are also known for their high quality. Same thing goes with other painted furniture including Canterbury and Chateau furniture. So what do you think about Shabby Chic? Does it suits your taste too?
