My Easter Eggs

I was not in the mood yesterday to make Easter Eggs. Well, Mom went to visit our Relatives in the province and she took Milzon and Mirasol with her. So meaning, they left me all alone here. We were supposed to do some Easter Eggs yesterday but since Milzon and Mirasol were not around, i just ended up painting 2 eggs. Sobs.

Oh and guess what, these are empty eggs too. I just don't have the time to leave the house and shop for fresh eggs. The market is quite far from us and i am afraid to leave the house just like that. (another Sobs)

Anyway, what i used here are poster paints. Then I used my mom's Nail Polish for the designs. Nail Polishes already have this glossy effect when they are being applied. Also check how to make Egg Cups to make you Easter eggs more appealing.

Egg Cups

Today, we're making Egg Cups out of Egg Carton or trays.

An egg cup, sometimes called egg server, is a container used for serving boiled eggs within their shell.They are usually made of porcelain. This time, we're making an improvised one using egg tray.

Simply cut out those concave egg holders. We need a pair of it for a single Egg Cup.

Cut the excess parts

Paint them. We used quick dry paint for it but Milzon suddenly fell asleep while waiting for the paint to dry so i had to finish the project myself haha.

Just glue them together facing different directions.

Then start adding some details to make it more appealing. I just used Ribbons and sequence beads here.

Tadah! that's it! Our Egg Cups!

Egg Leprechauns

This is our last project related to Saint Patrick's Day. We're making Egg Leprechauns. Same procedure with our Santa Elves and Santa Angels.

To start, we need Empty egg shells , gold and green ribbons, green construction paper and googly eyes. Oh and also we need orange yarn.

Cut a small rectangle from the construction paper and make cylinder out of it.

Glue the egg on one mouth of the cylinder.

Cut small strings of yarn and glue them on top of the egg.

Leprechaun is an old elf so add mustache and beard for him.

Trim the excess yarn.

It's time to add the small details. Add the googly eyes

I also made a small leprechaun hat for our Egg Leprechaun. (Check the bigger version of the hat here)

Add the rest of the details and you're done.

Santa Angels

Hi guys, Remember the Santa Elves?
Well my Auntie asked me last week to visit her in her house and help her in decorating her house and make it more Christmassy.... She was able to see our Santa Elves project via facebook and she asked me if i could make some for her.

I really love the outcome of the project. We make use of empty egg shells, red colored paper, and cotton and some sequence for tiny details. and googly eyes.

Santa Elves

Finally, we went down to our last Art Project for this month. Today, we will be sharing a very interesting art project. We are making Santa Elves out of Empty egg shells and colored papers.

To start with, we need assorted colored papers, googly eyes, Empty egg shells, yarn, glue.

Cut a 2 1/2 to 3 inch wide colored paper and form a cylinder out of it.

Glue the upper part or the upper mouth of the cylinder

Place the egg on top

Now start gluing the yarn. The yarn will serve as our Santa Elf's hair.

Now start trimming the hair to your desired style.

There you go. We cut it short because this one is a male Elf.

Draw the ears on the colored paper. Make it color flesh or orange.

Glue the ears on both sides of the egg

Make a cone

Glue the cone on top. The cone will serve as the elf's hat

Put a pair googly eyes

Outline the mouth with pencil

Then make it visible using a marker. Add eyebrows too!

Draw the arms and cut it.

Add more details and we're done! A Santa Elf!

Okay, let me give you a hint about our theme for December. We are going to have "POPSICLE STICK ARTS" theme. So prepare now all your craft sticks and we are doing cool arts out of them. Milzon and I were scheduled to attend a Lantern Parade too so expect me to share you some photos of our own lantern and the entire event too. He will also be attending their Christmas Party at school. hopefully i can share some photos of that event too.
